SENSOFLO™ flow sensor can be generally used for measuring and dosing of conductive liquids. It is especially suitable to be mounted into equpment of the food processing and chemical industry for measuring and dosing water-based solutions, acids, bases and food. SENSOFLO™ is created according to our own proprietary design so that its metering tube is made of special plastic. Due to the mechanical and chemical characteristis of this special plastic this product is applicable in a wide range of applications in the chemical industry, food processing and environment protection. The construction of the instrument enables its use for measuring highly pure materials according to FDA instructions, it can be applied in hazardous areas as well, and due to its high accuracy, it is applicable in delivery takeover calculations.
The SENSOFLO™ flow sensor has three output signals.
The impulse output signal is an impulse-frequency, giving out 100 impulses in case of the flow-through of one liter liquid, but it can be set for 1, 10 or 1000 impulses as well, so it can be connected to any PLC.
The switch output signal can be assigned both to the flow rate and to the volume flowing through.
The digital output signal is a signal in accordance with the RS 485 standard with a MODBUS protocol, so if connected to a computer it is suitable for transmitting the measured data as well as for setting the sensor program.
The optical signals on the back panel of the flow sensor The sensor show if there is any power supply, if there is an output signal (liquid flow), as well as the position of the switch output. The sensor operates with 24 VDC voltage, The SENSOFLO flow sensor can be ordered without display or with a built-in display.
The model without display can be perfectly used by OEM users, who mount it into their equipment, and usually a central PLC or computer is attached to the product for signal processing. In case of a SENSOFLO flow sensor model with builtin display, the liquid flow value or the liquid volume streaming through can be read from its front panel and it is suitable for liquid dosing applications as well. In this latter case the switch output opens-shuts down a magnetic valve or starts-stops a pump. The operator can set the volume to be dosed by 0.1 l resolution on the display.
